Light or dark? Bauwerk has the right parquet for your home!

Anyone who has started researching the purchase of parquet knows well that it is a real piece of furniture that can be of different colors.

There are very light parquets on the market as well as dark wood parquets but also parquets treated with impregnating agents capable of giving a very contemporary gray appearance or an antique parquet effect.

In short, whatever your furnishing style, there is a parquet suitable for your home.

Thanks to the different pigmentation of natural oil and water-based varnishes that are used to treat the surface part of the parquet, it is possible to have different colors while always maintaining an extremely natural effect.

Bauwerk wooden floors also include special colors carefully studied with the help of internationally renowned designers.

Treatments and colors of parquet
The color of the parquet is determined by various factors even if, at the base, a good quality wooden essence is essential which defines the natural texture of the floor and the background color of the oak or other types of wood, such as walnut.

The finishes mentioned above then allow you to vary the color of the parquet or simply to perform a protective function to avoid deterioration over time.

If the parquet planks or planks are treated with natural oil or varnish, the floor will turn out to be darker (the parquet is "loaded").

Similarly, external factors, such as exposure to sunlight, can also affect the color which will inevitably lead to a slight lightening over time.

With the aim of preserving the natural appearance of the wood as much as possible, Bauwerk has patented the B-Protect surface treatment which allows you to have parquet with a very natural and opaque aesthetic result and prevents chromatic alteration due to exposure to UV rays.

Overall, the floor is also more resistant over time and easier to clean.

Natural dark parquet
The dark and soft tone on the oak wood is obtained by Bauwerk through the smoking process: this choice, as well as aesthetic, is also ecological because it allows to limit the use of dark tropical wood essences by using instead a product, such as oak, which is very present in our territories.

In the smoking process, a chemical reaction is created in which the acidic components of the wood react with the ammonia salt present in the smoke: it is a slow process that requires a lot of time and for which Bauwerk reserves special compartments in the production sites for over two months.

The final aim is to use a natural technology, without synthetic colors which is then reflected in the well-being of the home.
