Fan coils: systems for making heat and cool in limited spaces

To have a perfect climate even in rooms where available space is limited, it is advisable to choose heat pump systems with limited dimensions, such as fan coils for example.

Thanks also to the numerous tax incentives made available by the Government in recent years, more and more building practices have been opened for the recovery of the attics, an extremely intelligent way of exploiting the space.

However, in these cases, due to the reduced heights and the inclined plane of the ceiling, it is not possible to install the classic split air conditioners and, for this reason, it is advisable to opt for floor-mounted solutions.

In fact, if the attic was not designed from the outset as a living space or is not subject to a heavy renovation, it is unlikely that a system for its heating is set up which, therefore, must be positioned afterwards.

The system must allow both heating and cooling in a single machine to optimize space and installation costs.

If you are carrying out a heavy renovation, obviously, the preferable system is always underfloor heating and cooling, but this obviously implies rather important costs and masonry work.

If this is not possible, a good solution is the floor-mounted fan coil (or fan coil): the arrangement of the machines must be carefully studied also due to the conformation of the environment in which the height in the center is much greater than the walls perimeter.

The floor fan coil solution is particularly suitable because the presence of the sloping ceiling could interfere with the optimal distribution of the outgoing air.
